We will be reading and defining specific terms (www.dictionary.com via laptops/Chromebooks). You may work in teams of two depending on availability of the technology. Please save to your google drive/docs and print here or to the library printer. You will need to make 2 copies as each person requires one.
The middle block begins with Mathematics. You will find yesterday’s word problems (factors and multiples) for checking and corrections . I will be calling upon a few volunteers to present their solutions and rationale. We will then engage in a comprehensive review of factors and multiples as there will be a test this upcoming Monday. You may use all of your assignments + videos. You may also make up or download a pre-test to practice your skills. Somewhere in here will be school photos at the gymnasium.
The final block of the day begins with Science. We will continue to discuss the classification of plants and animals (text + response task). You will complete p.29 no. 1 to 5. I will then call upon volunteers to go to the anchor charts to record their solutions. Our next big idea to explore is the factor tree. But first……to get us in the right frame of mind – a multiplication/division speed test (15 minutes). I will then use anchor charts + web sites to introduce the factor tree (you will need to know your math facts for this). I will also have a multiplication chart available for those who need it (no calculators for non-iep students). Your practice task is due tomorrow. If time remains in this block, you may complete the touch ups of your body parts assignment as it is due for marking today.
